Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 17, 2026. This policy describes how TAGTrade ("the app", "we") collects, uses and protects data when a merchant installs the app on their Shopify store.

Who we are

TAGTrade is a wholesale/B2B application for Shopify operated by TheAppsGalore. Contact: shop_b2b@theappsgalore.com.

Information we collect

When you install TAGTrade we receive and store, via the Shopify APIs you authorize:

• Store information: store name, domain, contact email, currency and timezone.
• Product data: product, variant and collection identifiers, titles, SKUs, prices and unit costs — used to compute and display wholesale prices and quote margins.
• Customer data: for wholesale customers only — name, email, company, customer ID, tags and tax-exemption status, as needed to operate group pricing, quotes and payment-terms tracking.
• Order data: order identifiers, totals, payment status and dates for orders placed by wholesale customers, used to create and track receivables.
• Application data: information buyers submit on the wholesale registration form (company, contact details, tax ID, address, message).

We do not collect or store payment card details. We are not a payment processor.

How we use information

• To display tier-specific wholesale pricing to approved, logged-in customers.
• To generate quotes, proforma PDFs, invoices-on-terms records and account statements.
• To send transactional emails on the merchant's behalf (application decisions, proformas, payment reminders, statements).
• To operate the merchant dashboard (receivables aging, quote inbox, application queue).
• To bill merchants through the Shopify Billing API.

We do not sell, rent or share personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Data storage and security

Data is stored on secured servers with access limited to the app's operation. Shopify API access tokens are stored encrypted. Generated documents (proformas, statements) are stored privately and are accessible only through unguessable tokenized links.

Data retention and deletion

• If you uninstall the app, your access token is revoked immediately.
• On receipt of Shopify's shop/redact webhook (48 hours after uninstall), all data associated with your store — groups, applications, price rules, quotes, receivables and documents — is permanently deleted.
• On receipt of a customers/redact webhook, personal data we hold for that customer (name, email, company) is removed.
• On receipt of a customers/data_request webhook, we cooperate with the merchant to provide the data we hold for that customer.

GDPR & merchant responsibilities

For data-protection purposes the merchant is the controller of their customers' data and TAGTrade acts as a processor on the merchant's behalf. We process EU personal data in accordance with GDPR. Merchants remain responsible for their own storefront privacy notices.

Cookies

The embedded admin uses session cookies strictly for authentication. The app's marketing website does not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves; material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
